On this particular Saturday, it started off pretty slow. Around 1:30pm, John says - let's go clean out the garage a bit and take a load to the dump! When he's ready to act on things like this, I don't hesitate! So I called the dump and they were only open until 3pm - so we had to work fast!! And work fast we did! We got his entire truck bed FULL of junk to take PLUS my entire van FILLED with stuff to donate! All before 2:30! He and Seth went to the dump while I ran stuff to the D.I. Afterwards, he was still "in the zone" for cleaning and decided to make some shelves in the garage to get things up off of the floor.
While he was out in the garage, I figured I had 2 choices... I could wast the rest of the evening (it was after 6pm by this time) OR... I could follow his lead and get a jump start on the closet under the stairs. Now let me preface the closet by saying that it was LITERALLY like what you see on TV, when you open a closet and stuff falls out all over you! The only difference is our closet is like 3ft x 20 ft space! It was crammed!! I don't know how I did it, but 6 hours later the closet only holds the necessities (we use it to store our seasonal items and the vacuum) AND we can fit our entire family inside of it now! LOL
The closet... well, we actually have plans for that in the near future! Our neighbor, Jackie Rigby (the Organizing Diva) is scheduled to be coming over next week to help get that puppy organized! It feels soooooooo good to have these 3 "spots" taken care of!! I just love walking into the garage and opening the closet door these days!!
