Like I mentioned in an earlier post, Seth and August have been HUGE fans of the Joseph musical ever since they were little! In fact, here's a little story about it.... They loved singing and dancing to the show and would often mimic the choreographed moves. One of the songs towards the end of the show is about how Joseph will someday be a "Star" and he raises both hands (with his fingers in a "peace" sign) as he sings this... Well, as chance would have it, August (who was 3.5 years old) was swinging around an old metal curtain rod that ended up hitting Seth in the eye (with it opened, so it scratched out part of his eye!). He and I were on our way to the hospital (and he is crying so hard! so sad :(
I decided to play the Joseph CD and the "Joseph could be a star" song was playing. Seth quieted down and when I looked in my rear view mirror, I could see him raising his hands up in the "peace" sign nodding his head (still with tears streaming down his face)! It was so cute and sad all at the same time!
I had found a deal online that got us the musical tickets for 50% off! So I decided that taking the boys (August didn't want to join us...) so Seth and I finalized a Mom/Son date. I let him pick a place for dinner (which he chose IHOP - since they were having their All You Can Eat Pancakes for $4.99!) and then we hit the show! Seth is really a fun boy to be around and he and I had a blast playing games on his iPod while we waited for our food and then again before the show started. Thank you Seth for being such an obedient and thoughtful boy! We sure love you! and I loved our date night :)
