A) having a party (he had wanted to take his friends to BOUNCE)
or
B) getting $100 cash to do what he wants with - but then no party
He chose plan B (which is really what I was secretly hoping for! I mean, if I'm going to spend $100 on a party to entertain other kids, I'd rather just give that money to my own child to get something he'd really like).
So with $100 in hand, he decided he needed to arm himself with as many NERF guns as possible. We ended up going with ones we found on sale at Amazon.com! We had told him that we would still have cake and ice cream and said that he could have some friends over for it (but that no other entertainment or party like activities would happen)... so his friends came over and after the cake and ice cream, they had a big ol' Nerf War! I think Ben really enjoyed himself :)
