In Our Family this Week... This is the week of the year that I look forward to all year long!  The week that Grandma & Grandpa Carlson come to visit!!! They were set to arrive on Wednesday afternoon and so I decided to take on a quick engagement session (for Aimee Konewko and her fiance, Byron Barfuss) on Monday evening.  Prior to their session, I spent the entire day editing Stephanie and Louie Jordao's photos from our session together on Saturday. Stepahnie and her step daughter came over Monday evening to preview the photos - they loved them! They couldn't pass any of them up, and so they ended up ordering all of them!  That was such a blessing - since that is the money we'll use to take our vacation to the Oregon Coast at the end of the month :)  Tuesday was spent doing laundry and running errands and the girls going to a Princess Birthday Tea for Ava Eiband (where her mom made princess tutus for every girl attending!).... and then came Wednesday!  Stephanie Perry came over for a little bit in the morning to help me put the "finishing touches" on the house so it'd look it's best when grandma and grandpa arrived.  That afternoon was spent just visiting and spending time together as a family. I ended up taking grandma with me to YW that night. On Thursday, we got up and exercised and then grandma visited with the little ones while I made out the freezer meal menus and lists. John came home early and the 4 of us dropped off the van (to get a new tire on) and then hit a few thrift stores.  On the way home, we stopped and grabbed some pizza to take home for dinner - so everyone was happy about that! On Friday, we went exercising a bit earlier and then hit a few garage sales. The "steal of the day" was a Bissell carpet cleaning machine that we picked up for $20. However, after spending 6 hours of time trying to get it to work, it lost its title as the "Deal of the day!" Affter getting home from the garage sales, we got ready for the day and mom and I went and did the B.I.G. grocery shopping!! I was just beyond grateful that we were able to stock up on dinners and necessities for a bit!! Once we got home and unloaded, all of the boys (except for Nathan) went shooting. During our outing to Walmart, one of the little ones touched the bike chain and then decided it'd be a good idea to wipe it on the carpet!  So, we loaded up the 3 little ones and dashed over to (first pick up the van) and then over to the Don Aslett cleaning store to purchase a product that took grease out of carpets. Afterward, we took the kids over to Burger King and got dinner and let them play in the playland. Saturday started off just like all of the other days with exercising.  We then hit some more garage sales!  We hit a couple of "winners" and came home with several things for Christmas - Yay!!  and also with a Birthday gift for cousin Cole. That afternoon, grandma, mom, the 3 little ones and Seth headed over to Uncle Danny and Aunt Chita's home in Star for Cole's 2nd Birthday Party. It was fun visiting with family and I was able to capture some fun pictures of the occasion. John had drill this weekend so wasn't able for any of the festivities. I started feeling like I was coming down with something on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday morning, I was loosing my voice. We all were up and got to church on time. I taught the lesson in YW and it went really well. BYC was after church and lunch was waiting for me when I arrived back home. Then off for another nap and then cooking dinner and having FHE when John got home from work. AND... that pretty much sums up our week!

In Our Homeschool this Week... Since grandma has been here - lots of learning through games has been taking place.  She has worked with each of the little girls quite a bit with their letters!  She has also been reading to them each night. She's also been teaching them how to phonetically spell out simple words!  It's been awesome!

My Favorite Thing This Week... Ummm... no brainer - Grandma and Grandpa arriving! Hip Hip Hooray!!

I'm Grateful For... How such good care grandma and grandpa take of us! It is such a HUGE blessing to have them come for 10 days and just take care of all the things that need attention!  My heart was sooooo full of gratitude as we checked out with all of the groceries we'd need for all of our freezer meals!  And then when dad suggested that he'd get our van safe with replacing the bad tire - that was awesome!! Plus, I'm just so grateful that I have such a fun and loving relationship with my mom and dad!  I thoroughly enjoy every moment with them!!

My Goals for this Week... they'll be pretty basic - have FUN with grandma and grandpa!

Photos that I'd like to share from this Week...
