* Dad was gone to Bakersfield, CA all week (We missed our Daddy!)
* Farewell lunch for a gal I Visit Teach
* Mom babysat for a gal in the ward while she packed her house to move
* Mom babysat for another family in the ward whose baby has been in the hospital with Meningitis
* Ben had 2 friends over Friday after school
* Ben and Nathan had friends over on Saturday afternoon
* The YM Pizza Making Fundraiser
* Mom and Dad went back to their first OA meeting since moving to Minot. While it wasn't anything like the one we went to in Boise, we feel that is where we need to be and so will attend again.
* Mom did her first photo shoot for a family here in ND!
* Awesome weather for part of the week! While we still don't have any leaves on the trees, the grass is definitely becoming green!! We'll probably even need to mow this week! Guess we'd better figure out getting a riding mower for this humungous yard!
Spiritually Speaking...
I really enjoyed our Sunday School lesson today! We were reading in Deut. 6 and likening ourselves to the people of Moses. Here are some notes I jotted down that I liked!
* Ask ourselves - "Are We Doing Our Best Each Day?"
* Do a Self Evaluation on a daily basis
* Is what we're watching on TV/Movies bringing us closer to Christ? If not, we need to reevaluate!
* Is our house filled with Good Things?
* Think about what we complain about - those same things are blessing to us in some way!
* Deut. 6:12 - BEWARE lest we forget the Lord (when things are going good for us!)
Our RS Lesson was about LEARNING and LIGHT! I loved it! It was all about how the Spirit helps us to learn and how we always need to be in a state of "education" and learning. A thought came to me during the lesson that I should start including the question: WHAT DID YOU LEARN TODAY? to our nightly tuck in regime to go along with our "Happy's and Sads".
