April 24th - 30th

In Our Family This Week...
* Dad and August went to Missoula for a Jimmy Eat World concert
* Ben spent several night with August
* The girls had their Recital for Irish Dancing
* Aubrie and Lexi turned NINE!! We Planned, Prepped and Carried Out an Owl Themed Birthday Party for them!

Seth Spotlight...
* Spent most of the week living in the hospital with his companion (they finally found out the reason for his illness - he had a bacteria that was attacking his heart valves!)
* Before "moving in" to the hospital, they spent the evening with the Senior Couple Missionaries having dinner with them (Beef Stroganoff) and teaching them an FHE lesson on prayer. Seth said this was his favorite thing he did last week.
* He's definitely growing in his love and desire for Missionary work...when he found out that August and dad were enroute to a Jimmy Eat World concert (one that he would have loved to attend) he replied with: "It'd be cool to go, but I'm happier doing what I am doing." This really made our hearts happy (since in all honesty I don't think he would have answered the same way a few months back!)
* He said that the hospital they're in is really nice and comparable to one we'd find here in the US. He said that they'd been able to share the gospel with some of the hospital staff and even gave out 2 Books of Mormon
* And apparently the hospital has really good food as he mentioned that it's the best food he's eaten since getting there! He also mentioned he thinks he might have put on a few pounds eating all of that good food! haha
* His companion will be flying home and so Seth went back to Matalgapa with the Mission Nurse and her husband to get all of Elder Quinonas belongings... and they hit a buffet for lunch while they were driving. When Quinonas leaves, Seth thought he'd be put into a Tri-panionship until next Transfers

Spiritually Speaking...
Honestly we've seen a MIRACLE happen this week! August has decided to take up Grandma and Grandpa Carlson on their offer to move in with them and start furthering his education in the Computer/IT field! We know Heavenly Father is very aware of August and wants him to be happy and successful and we're just so thrilled that he has made this decision. He's not one that likes change and he had some fears and worries standing in the way of bettering himself and his situation, but with lots of prayers he is stepping out in Faith! We're very excited for him and so grateful to Grandma and Grandpa for offering this to him! They will be coming up from Nebraska on May 9th to visit for a bit and then August will go back with them on May 19th and his class will start on May 22.
