In Our Family This Week... It has been a (another) BUSY week!! On Tuesday, John took me to the Western Idaho Fair where Weird Al was putting on a concert - it was fabulous and oh so fun!! Afterwards, we walked around the Fair and I took some night shots of the rides where I used a super slow shutter speed and got some awesome motion blur! Friday, Stephanie and I met for lunch (Subway) and also hit some thrift stores where I really scored on some ink for my printer (yay!!). Friday night after football practice, Ben arrives home with a new look: a mullet!! Saturday morning was Ben's first official game for football - and they won their game 38-16 (I'm sure in part due to the mullet). I had a General Auxiliary Leadership Training meeting from 1-4pm and then that evening John had arranged for a Surprise Birthday Party for me at the Cheesecake Factory! It was SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!! Sunday was my Birthday and I had a wonderful day! All of the kids made me letters and drawings (August even made me an egg mcmuffin for lunch) and John got me a new Scripture Journal and calendar. Grandma and Grandpa Carlson splurged and bought me a new heavy duty, fancy-schmancy carpet cleaner that should be delivered this next Wednesday! I'm super excited!! Our carpets are horrible and so I'm thrilled to have them look nicer!! Today at church, the YW all sang to me and Jamie (my 1st counselor) brought red velvet cupcakes to celebrate! After church, I had ward council, then came home for a little nap and then we went out to the Vogt Farm for my Brithday dinner! It was really a blessed day!!
In our Homeschool This Week... Just getting ready to start this week!! Yippee!! I'd been searching for months for a weekly planner that they boys could use that would incorporate everything from chores, to goal setting, to keeping school assignments organized. I never could find exactly what I was looking for, so I ended up just creating this one for us - I love it and the boys think it looks pretty cool! (the one below is August's)
My Favorite Thing This week... I had several!! The Weird Al Concert for sure! and then my surprise Birthday Dinner!! It was sooooo awesome to see so many of my friends! Those who came out to celebrate with us: Lynette and Randy Parker, Brent and Karla Coburn, Rich and Tiffany Beath, Melanie and Marshall Davis, Kerry and Mike Fuller, Stephanie and Kelly Perry, Matt and Krista Fletcher, Jennie and Chris Freeman, Amber and Jeff Gunnell & Jeff and Jackie Rigby

I'm Grateful For... the wonderful life I've been blessed with! I've had 37 years of great health and happiness!! I have 6 healthy children, an amazing and supportive husband, LOTS of friends that I enjoy being around and the knowledge of the gospel!
My Goals for This Week... Have August pass his Drivers Test in the morning! Get all ready for School to start this week and to get my carpets all beautified once the new Royal machine arrives :)
