In Our Family This Week...
* Last Day of Seminary for the older boys!!
* First swim in the neighborhood Pool!
* Memorial Day - we spent the day working on the garage and then had Grandpa Vogt over for a BBQ dinner of hamburgers, Hotdogs, potato salad, chips and watermelon.
* Getting geared up for Girls Camp and our Mutual was all about Camp Prep (which was fun and exciting!) We leave in about 2 weeks!
* August and Seth went on the Temple Trip with the Youth :)
* Mom preparing for her YW lesson, only to get sick and not be able to teach it :(
* Dad started Annual Training.  He'll be here in Boise for the first week and then off to Kansas until the 18th of June.
* Seth going boating with his friend, Ryker and his dad at Lucky Peak.
* August going to the Lake with Cami and her family
* August applied for his first job - at Garbonzo's Pizza...
* First Garage Sales of the season!  3 nearby neighborhoods were having their annual subdivision garage sales so that was fun.  I was specifically looking for BOWLING SHOES. I signed up our family for the Kids Bowl Free program (which, just as the name suggests is where each member of the family can bowl 2 games a day for the entire summer for free!  The Catch... you still have to rent shoes for $3/each. That doesn't make my "free bowling" quite so free anymore!  So I decided that if I could pick up some used shoes at garage sales and/or thrift stores then it would significantly cut down on the cost and would indeed make it a free summer activity). Heavenly Father blessed me BIG TIME and I now have 5 pairs of bowling shoes (so far!) Not having much luck finding the smaller sizes for the girls...

Kids Say...

Spiritually Speaking... John and I had a really special experience with Lexi this week... she told us that she quietly sings a song to Jesus each day to make him happy.  We asked her if we could hear one of the songs (she said that there were several different songs that she sings) and so she began to sing the sweetest little song in a tune that she had made up herself (I'm guessing since I hadn't ever heard the tune) and it was basically a song of her testimony of prayer. She sang how she will try so hard to be like him and she knows one day that she will be like him. She also sang about how she knew she could pray to him if she ever lost anything and he would help her find it.  It was so sincere and beautiful and it touched my heart so much!!
We also had a prayer experience with Nathan this week... he couldn't find his web slinger (for his Spiderman costume) and was getting very frustrated. He then came to John and I and asked if we could pray to find it. He said the prayer and it was found within 1 minute!! We then all came back together to give a prayer of thanks :)  It was awesome!
