In Our Homeschool This Week...
Kids Say... One night Lexi was snuggling with mom in her bed. Dad walked into the room and said "Hmmm.. looks like we've got a little girl in our bed." To which Lexi replied, "Yeah, it's me, Aubrie." She then rolled over and whispered in my ear "It's really me, Lexi, but I'm just tricking daddy!" I guess she thought that she needed to clarify with me who she really was or else I, too, would have her mixed up. They now recognize that they look like each other and that some people can't tell them apart - which they think is funny! and they've been trying to "trick" us more and more lately!
Spiritually Speaking... I'm so grateful that we live so close to the Temple. As in it's only 5 miles away! On Tuesday I was having somewhat of a "blah" day and the thought came to me that I needed to go to the Temple that evening. I knew that's what I needed to do and then of course, the Adversary started using all sorts of ploys to interfere with my plans! I was determined and made it to the 6:30 session which was just so beautiful! I realized I needed to get back into more of a "study" habit of the scriptures vs. just reading them each day... I felt renewed and energized and was ready to tackle the rest of the week! As I was walking into the Temple, I snapped a picture with my phone...
