HUGE NEWS came in the very end of July... a JOB OFFER from Rain For Rent!! After flying down to California to interview with the President and VP of the company, we endured a long 10 day wait before the offer came in! We knew immediately that Heavenly Father wanted us in Minot, ND and the offer was even better than we had ever imagined! We gave our 2 weeks notice to his current job on July 31st and we knew that the next two weeks would be very busy! Originally we had planned on John and I heading out to ND to find a place to live and then I would go home and get the household ready and then the kids and I would all move out after we closed on a house. As we prayed about this, it was very clear that Heavenly Father wanted our family to stay together the entire time and so the hunt started to find us a short term rental... We found a place on Craigslist that was willing to rent to us on a short term basis for a higher monthly rent. It was either this option or go to an Extended Stay Hotel. After praying, we felt really good about the home and then started the frantically packing to be ready to leave within 10 days!!
The owners of the house we were going to rent informed us that they would still be cleaning most of Saturday and that we could start moving in around 4pm. So we rolled into Williston, ND and straight into Aunt Heidy's Super Sweet Hotel! She was so generous and hooked us up with 2 full suites for our family! We ordered some pizza and her and Tony came over to visit. Then we all got some much needed rest! They came back and spent Saturday morning with us and then we started out on the last 2-3 hours of our journey into Minot!
