* Dad and the girls went to Idaho!
* Mom, Ben and Nathan had some fun time together at home! Nathan had 2 football Playoff games that he didn't want to miss so mom stayed home to take him.
* Nathan had a Playoff game on Wednesday that they won 36-0 and so advanced to the next game (being played on Saturday). Saturday the team just wasn't playing their best and ended up loosing 24-0 (against a team that they played earlier in the season and won 41-0). Nathan was bummed but is happy the team had a great season!!! Including the Playoff games, they played 11 games and won 9 of them.
* Dad traded in his truck for a new one - it's pretty sharp! This happened in Idaho and so he and the girls were able to "break it in" on their road trip back home.
* We played "Hotel Vogt" this weekend with the Mackowiaks and the Gillettes needing a place to stay on their way back to North Dakota. Ben was the most excited as this meant that he and Teagan would have some time to hang out! He even took a nap before they arrived so that he'd be refreshed and ready for an "all nighter" to have as much time with Teagan as possible!
In Our Homeschool This Week...
* More Writing Lectures for Ben
* 4-6 hours a day of novel revision for Ben
* Lots of read out louds
* Girls worked on some crafts and decided to make a bed for "Harold" (our Elf on a Shelf that won't even be here until December - but they were excited! haha). We had to use some math skills to get everything measured correctly and then they sewed and glue gunned their little hearts out!
* Mom and boys finally made it to the Billings Library (vs. our smaller one in Laurel) and got cards (since we don't live in Billing, we are limited to 10 items per card). We found some fun books and picked up the movie of "Treasure Island" to watch this week.
* Ben took the kids out on an "Adventure" in the backyard
* Ben's Football Banquet where he received his Varsity Letter
Seth Spotlight...
* Last week in the MTC
* Excited, yet nervous about heading off to Nicaragua. Still isn't where he'd like to be in regards to the Language.
* Went to Choir Practice
* Lots of hours in class learning Spanish and teaching church Doctrine
Spiritually Speaking...
* Elder Timothy J. Dyches of the Seventy was our visiting authority for Stake Conference today. He spoke a lot about keeping ourselves protected by daily family prayers, scripture study, FHE (ya know.. all of the stuff that we recently recommitted to not missing!) it just solidified how important those things truly our for us! He also counseled to pray with the Lord to see "What else" we can do to show our love to him.
* Also heard from the Billings Temple President. His talk was all about Family History work. I had an impression come that we should upload pictures of all of our ancestors to the files sections online for our posterity to be able to "see" their relatives!
* Feel truly blessed with how well things went with trading in the truck! We got an awesome interest rate (2.6!) and were able lower our monthly payments AND scored a 100K mile warranty to boot! Blessings!
