August 28th - September 3rd

In Our Family This Week...
* We got TWO offers on our house! It's been a slow month and we didn't have a whole of showings - but now things are turning for the best!!
* The kids and I spent a lot of hours this week getting our Bullet Journals all ready to start using next week with recording all of our learning! They have really turned out so super cute! Out of all the kids, Aubrie has really taken off with hers and has layouts for keeping track of her dreams, the weeks she goes to church, memorizing the Articles of Faith, the gifts she'd like, and even a page devoted to available color combinations of rubber bands in case she ever needs braces!!
* Mom and the kids went to the Billings Library and got all sorts of super fun books to kick us off next week!!
* Ben submitted an application to McDonalds and got an interview the following day. He has a 2nd interview with the Head Manager on Tuesday and we'll see what happens. It would only be for 14 hours/week but he is wanting to get a jump start on earning money for his Mission
* Seth has asked for some specific type of sandals (he said he hasn't been able to find them down in Nicaragua) and the pair he took with him are being held together by duct tape! So, the girls and I ventured into town and eventually found a pair that were on sale for under $20.
* Mom and dad attended the Temple and did an Endowment Session
* Ben devoted 25+ hours to his novel and it's progressing quite nicely! He has a goal to be DONE (and begin the editing) by next Friday!
* Watched a BSU game in our matching game-day gear!!

Seth Spotlight...
* Traveled to a Multi Zone Meeting in Esteli. Saw some old companions and also Elder Price (from the MTC)
* No one in the Branch Presidency was going to be at church, and so Seth Presided and Conducted the meeting
* Has been serving 50 weeks!

Spiritually Speaking...
brought to us by John

As Shandy and I attended the Temple on Saturday, I was overcome with a sense of peace and contentment. Not that I was doubting but I was just struck by a feeling from the Spirit that I was where I needed to be, doing what I was supposed to be doing. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love being a disciple. I love being Mormon. I am thankful for a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows each of us personally. I am thankful for the restoration and am honored to be a part of this work. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
