In our Family the Past Two Weeks...
* Dad's PTO ended and he's back at work. We miss having him around so much!
* Ben and his two friends, Matthew and Issiac, went to the BSU vs Air Force game with dad. They tailgated and got the whole "experience" - which they all loved! Of course they got some air time and made it onto TV as well... They felt jipped by the refs and we ended up loosing - boo!
* Dad and the girls had another Rugby clinic (this time sponsored by Idaho Rugby). They did ask dad to help out - but it was a lot less time commitment than the clinic he put on the other week. It went well and the girls all had fun (as did dad!)
* Two Words: DUCK SEASON! Yep, duck season has officially begun and dad headed out with Ryan Aten and Maggie to their "usual" spot. They both got several ducks and dad was super proud of Maggie and her retrieval skills.
* Fall is in full splendor over here! The trees are all splashes of reds, golds, yellows and oranges - and mom and the girls LOVE it!!!
* We're all getting excited for August and McKendra's next little baby boy to join the family! Mom and the girls threw a baby shower for her on Saturday night. It was fun to spoil the mom-to-be and super fun to see all of the adorable little outfits and baby things she got! The girls did all of the baking/food prep and everyone enjoyed themselves!
* The girls have been crafting every spare minute! They'll be participating in their first Craft Bazaar next month and they've been making things to sell at their booth. They came up with a business name (Twin Stitchers! how cute is that!?) and mom helped them create a logo to go on their finished items.
Spiritually Speaking...
* The new Pocatello, Idaho Temple has been having their Open House to the public going on. We felt that it was really important to take the kids so that they could see all of the different parts of the Temple and to feel the sacred spirit that is there. Dad took a day off of work and we got up early and made the 3.5 hour trip to eastern Idaho. Of course it was beautiful and we were all so happy to be on the grounds and to see inside (which was full of rich woods, soft mauve colors and breathtaking paintings depicting the Savior). The only downfall is that the tour felt rushed and so we didn't get the chance to really point out all that we wanted to to the kids. We were able to chat on the way home that unlike the tour, there is nothing rushed about Temple and it's a Sacredness. Driving all that way also made us even more grateful for the Meridian Temple only being 15 minutes away!
