Our Family History

In Our Family This Week... seems like we had another full week - complete with dad gone to Drill for the weekend.   Here's a glimpse into what we did:

Mom, Aubrie and Lexi all got their hair cut this week!

In Our Homeschool This Week... Ben has taken off like a rocket in math!!!!  He has gone from basic single digit multiplication to problems like 9989 X 9!  Not only that... we have even started in on short division!  I'm feeling very proud of him! :)  I also realized that my goal for the older boys is to have them really LEARN and so I wrote down 4 Chemistry topics and we each chose 1 and will teach our topic (along with any assignments/experiments) that go along with it to the rest of the "class"... I'm excited about this and hope that that August and Seth will really delve into the learning of it! We focused on the 2nd Gospel Principle of Repentance for our morning devotions.

Spiritually Speaking... I'm very grateful for the love of our Heavenly Father and I'm super grateful for the promptings of the Holy Ghost. It always amazes me when impressions come (either regarding our family as a whole or for individual children). I had one of these experiences this week and it just reiterated that I truly want to live my life to where I am worthy to receive such inspiration!  It is such a wonderful guidance for us in our lives.
