In Our Family This Week... We've had a splendid week!  Even though it was busy - it was just a fun week filled with fun things!  Of course on Monday we had FHE and Aubrie and Lexi gave us a lesson on the Temple and then we put this puzzle together...
I spent quite a bit of time preparing and planning a FAMILY VALENTINES DAY!  It turned out awesome and I captured our whole celebration in photos (I even pulled out my nice camera... and I had quite a bit of fun documenting our morning!!)
On Friday, Dad and I went out on a date to celebrate our "anniversary"... we went to RC Willey and picked out some new furniture to replace the couch and loveseat that were still under warranty.  We ended up purchasing BACK to "ruined" furniture and then got a NICE leather set for the Bronco room which includes a "MAN CHAIR" for dad... It is set to be delivered on Tuesday and we're really excited!
Saturday, I went to the Temple in the morning and Grandma came and took August and Seth to the Bodies Revealed down at the Discovery Center.  We then met up with them afterward for dinner :)
August and Seth also had the Stake Dance and Brent came over to do some measuring in the School Room.  I asked if they would like to swap out photography for some custom building (he's a carpenter) and so I'm hoping my grand plans for the school room turn out!!

In Our Homeschool This Week... Last Sunday, I had a really good chat with Seth (who had some great ideas he wanted to try for homeschool this week)... He was hoping that we could do more things in the morning all together and then do their independent work (math, science, etc..) after lunch.  He also was hoping we could incorporate more games and "fun things" and be more consistent in our Read Aloud time.  So this week we did all of that and it was so much fun!  We played lots of games together, did an art project together, read outloud for almost an hour every day (we're reading The Lightening Thief together right now and it is such a good book!) and we also had a "lesson" on how to find books in the library given by Seth (he was also thinking maybe each week, the kids can take turns and give a lesson or teach the others about something they think is important).  I really loved how this new "routine" went and so we'll keep it up! Then during lunch I did our MM (Mom Meeting) time with each of the older boys and got them on track for the work that needed to be done after lunch.  Also, Seth taught the Chemistry class this week and did a really nice job!

Spiritually Speaking...(John is going to be adding the Spiritual thought this week :)
