* Dad flew out to Arizona on Monday (Dec. 29th) for work and then was able to stay for the Fiesta Bowl!
* Since dad was going to be gone for the week, Mom got the idea that her and the kids should head down to Nebraska and celebrate August's Birthday, visit with family and ring in the New Year! We left at 5am on Monday morning and were back home that Friday by 5pm! It was a quick trip full of absolute fun and we're really grateful that the weather was good for us!
* Seth rang in the New Year in Williston, ND at the Stake Youth Dance. They then had a stake activity the next morning.

Spiritually Speaking...
As this year draws to an end we embark on a new phase of life. A phase of life that includes an adult child. I'm not really ready for this and have been dreading it for the last couple of years. I know it's the natural progression of things and I'm grateful for August and all of the time we've had with him. I know we get him for at least another half year and maybe more as he decides his path and time table. I am thankful that mom and I have been able to be in the role of parents to our six wonderful children. As we emulate the qualities of our Heavenly Parents, I know we realize part of our divine potential. I look forward to this next year with hope and optimism and I'm excited for the future.
