* Both August and Seth went out on splits with the Missionaries
* August got hired on at Dairy Queen. His first day is tomorrow!
* Mom and Dad did their Spin Class at the YMCA

In Our Homeschool This Week...
* Started back full force with our schooling!
* Studied out of "Preach My Gospel" each day for Enrichment along with working on a Scripture Mastery verse to memorize (we'll be introducing a new Scripture Mastery each Monday)
* Listened to Heroes of Olympus for our Read Aloud most days (we're listening to it as an Audio Book which we've all really enjoyed)
* August and Seth still working really hard at their individual studies and BYUI classes
* Ben has continued writing 3-4 hours each day on his book! He is currently on Chapter 19. When he is complete, we'll edit it to reinforce our grammar and spelling lessons.
* Ben started in on his new Math program that we fasted and prayed about. We eventually decided upon Teaching Textbooks and we have high hopes for it!
* Nathan had an AMAZING break-through this week! We have been working on blending sounds together. Whenever we tried 3 sounds (ie: C-A-T) he couldn't do it and so we've been working on just blending 2 sounds and he's been doing very well at them. So this week, I decided to just *try* a 3 sound blend to see if we were getting any closer to being able to do it and.... HE DID IT!!! He was able to blend pretty much any of the 35 sounds he has mastered that I put together! We were doing high fives and hugs after each word and he was just so proud of himself (as was I!!) We were really excited to share his new-found skill with dad when he got home that night!
* Had fun with some of the Magic School Bus Experiements that we got for Christmas

Kids Say...
Spiritually Speaking...
Today in Sacrament Meeting a recently returned Sister Missionary spoke. She talked on a few things that we can do to prepare ourselves for a Mission. I was especially intrigued since we are preparing several future Missionaries in our home! Here were her "tips:
1. Love God
2. Love Others
3. Sever Others
4. Gain a Testimony of your Own
5. Invite Others
She was originally called to serve in Brazil but she had issues with her Visa and so she never made it (and was reassigned to the Pocatello, Idaho Mission).
